Moonheart is an electro-folk duo made up of singer/guitarist Kim Mayo and producer/keyboardist Michael Sachs. Together, they create a sound at once surreal and deeply personal; Mayo’s intimate storytelling and warm, eclectic vocals blended with Sachs’sh, driving production bend and weave to create a sound at once deeply familiar and refreshingly new. Based in Brooklyn, the duo crystallized in the Winter of 2015, and released their first EP, Blow, in October 2016. The trio of songs, connected in their minimalism, romance, and nostalgia, have been described by The Line of Best Fit as "an eerie delight that leaves the listener prying for more,” and as a collection of “tender pop songs that drift between genres effortlessly” by Gold Flake Paint. They are currently working on their first LP.
